Grow Grant

What is the Grow Grant?

The Grow Grant Program supports organisations, businesses, and community groups to strengthen and expand initiatives that are already delivering positive outcomes in their communities.
Grants are designed to build capability, increase impact, and support sustainable growth by providing funding for program expansion, operational improvements, and skills development. The program aims to help organisations move from early success to long-term stability and greater community impact.

Available funding

  • Up to $25,000

  • The amount awarded will depend on the scope of the proposed project.

Assessment

  • 15 - 26 July 2026

Notification

  • 29 June - 10 July 2026

Who can apply

​Applicants must:

  • Be based in Australia

  • Use funds for the benefit of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living in Australia and the Torres Strait Islands.

Applicants must also be one of the following:

  • An Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander-owned and operated business (new or established), or

  • An Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander-owned community organisation or not-for-profit that supports Aboriginal economic participation, or

  • A non-Indigenous organisation working in active partnership with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people or organisations, where the project demonstrably builds Indigenous economic participation or supports self-determination.

What We Do Fund

  •  Program Expansion

  • Staffing and Program Delivery

  • Equipment and Resources

  • Training or Professional Development

  • Systems or Operational Improvements

  • Marketing and Engagement

  • Evaluation and Impact Measurement

What We Don't Fund

  • Contingency funds or unspecified “miscellaneous” costs

  • Daily travel allowances, per diems, or meal allowances

  • Personal living expenses (rent, groceries, utilities, private bills)

  • Vehicle purchases or private vehicle expenses

  • Debt repayment, fines, or penalties

  • Retrospective costs incurred before grant approval

  • Costs or activities that have been, or will be, funded by another source

  • Costs for the preparation of the grant application

  • Activities that present a high risk of physical, psychological, or cultural harm

  2. Applications will be reviewed and assessed by the board

  3. Successful applicants will receive a funding agreement outlining terms and conditions.
